  osiris died and was resurrected.

  odin hung on a tree for nine days, travelled to the underworld and came back with many secrets.

  jesus we know about.. the echo of the first two has niggled at me for years.

  The elders want to see me also

  i mentioned a few times,that in terms of making my time for the past few months have been really difficult.simply because i cant teach something i don't fully believe...so my service has gone down,i used to comment a lot--haven't done that in a while----meeting attendance like normal but now i don't stay back after...or come early...or help with cleaning..... .

  so some weeks ago the cobo asked me a completely irrelevant and in no way helpful question---"you did't think that i notice how upset you look these days----that's not a fruitage of god's spirit!".

  yeah so today he saw me and asked me a series of question....all which i gave really short answers to...long story short--he says that he would like for me to meet wih the rest of the elders after memorial........ .

  Oh One thing I wish I had known when I was a struggling pioneer...Lie!

  Lie about your hours to satisfy the elders. If they ask tell them youve turned the college campus into your own territory and have been having a ton of upbuiding convo's with the students and professors.

  You never know they may want to use your experience on an assembly part ;-)

  Sorry I haven't closely followed your story, Do you have to rely on your parents or any other JW's for support?

  If you can just lessen your involvement, STAY IN SCHOOL finish your degree and start your real life!

  I know you may think 'easier said than done' but its really a lot easier than jumping thru the JW hoops.

  the past 7 months since being disfellowshipped have been filled with nothing but happiness for me, however one sister said she wasnt going to give up on me.

  how nice.

  we have remaiend friends and we spend some time together every month doing work which is her excuse.

  so after 18 years (since the age of 5) i have converted from the jws to protastant christianity.

  i have been biblically shown what i believe to be truths about the trinity, hell, and heaven (ideas that i debated against classical christians for many years) since i left the witnesses.

  i read a lot of things on this site (as well as others) that really confuses me.

  This is my theory.

  JW's are trained to destroy other folks belief's and inplement their teachings as truth. When one realizes that the dubs are full of shit, its hard to 'go back' to those former beliefs or another religion that you have been trained to distrust.

  Does anyone know about Monsanto?

  i was sent a petition stop supermarkets here in uk from selling products supplied by a company called monsanto.

  i have never heard of them so i googled them and there doesn't seem to be anything good being said.

  should we be worried over here?.

  I couldn't agree more. I have long designated Monsanto the most dangerous corporation on the planet, and clearly this is a growing sentiment.

  What's Wrong With Monsanto?

  You may be wondering what Monsanto - the world's largest seed company whose net income for the first quarter of fiscal year 2012 totaled $126 million (up from $9 million in 2011) - has done to have earned such ire.

  The list is long, easily enough for a novel, but to sum it up, biotech giant Monsanto has created some of the most dangerous products on the planet, including Agent Orange, dioxin, recombinant bovine growth hormone (rBGH)... and genetically modified seeds.

  The latter is one of the most pressing concerns because GM crops are now a mainstay of American agriculture.

  Ninety percent or more of all US-grown corn, soybeans, canola, and sugar beets are genetically modified versions, which means that virtually all processed food items contain at least one or more genetically modified ingredients.

  GM foods are, from what I perceive, one of the most significant threats that we have against the very sustainability of the human race. Why? In a nutshell, these toxins are being linked to a growing repertoire of assaults against human health and the environment - and they are already migrating into fetal blood, which means future generations are now at risk.

  Attended 2-Day Circuit Assembly--Highlights

  since my spouse is an active elder, i accompany him to sads, cas and das, at least for the time being.

  anyway, i thought i'd share some of the more odd/disturbing bits from the latest "sanctify god's name" ca.

  there wasn't anything particularly new but the tone toward porn, higher ed, bad assoc, "habitual" murmuring and harmful gossip is definitely hardening, as are the cautions against social networking.

  last week i once again had a chat with the sister who still feels she can get me back to the organisation.

  she touched upon the facts in the bible, namely that god condemns homosexuality and that i cannot break gods laws and expect him to forgive me so freely.

  i beg to differ.

  College and the Watchtower: Remember One Thing

  if any of you lurkers listen to a rant by the society against college, remember one thing:.

  the brother giving the talk is probably an utter hypocrite.. there are a few exceptions but consider that many elders are financially secure - which allows them to be elders.

  while they talk about not planning for the future because armageddon 'is so close', they have pensions, ira's, roth accounts and investments.

  the big thing before I left was elders going back to school (for their job)

  So its ok for bro school servent to go back and get his bachelors cause his job demands it but you coming out of HS you need to pioneer and trust in JAH to provide...;-/
